This is an AWESOME website!!!!!!
Your Sisterlocks are absolutely beautiful. How long have you had them? What do you use to condition your hair?
Thanks Silverlocks for the compliment. My hair regimen is pretty simple and I’ll be sharing that with you in future posts. To answer your questions for now…I’ve had my Sisterlocks for 7 years and I use the Healthylocks Conditioning Mist (my personal recipe) to maintain the moisture content in my locks. I also use a variety of oils and butters from Warm Spirit. One of my favorites is the Anahita hair oil. I’ll be posting a video on how to order and use these products to maintain soft pliable locks that smell and feel absolutely wonderful. You can check them out at http://www.PamperDiva.com.
…yes, my mentor, your locs are fabulous! Guess what I did…finally counted Tooties Braidlocs and she has 180! You know I’ll be on the lookout for the vid…know you are busy…but don’t keep a sista waiting!
: )
Your hair is beautiful I love your videos they are very helpful. I love the fact that you do not use hair pins. I will like to know how you do that. My locs are a year old and I just love them. I try to maintain them myself in between visits to my loctician but I rather go to my loctician she does a good job. I will like to know what products you use to maintain your locs.
Thanks.
Hello, your locs are so beautiful, I am ready for locs and have decided to start off with braidlocs in the sisterloc pattern. I had a sisterloc consult and was quoted 4 days work and $1100 dollars. That price is just too much for me. Also I workout daily and think the braidloc will be the best way to start off. Do you have any comments concerning starting off with braidlocs? Do you actually have a shop for hair services or are you just offering services via your videos and products? Looking forward to hearing from you.
PHYLLIS YOU TRULY ARE A DIVA OF ALL DIVAS. I HAVE RELOCATED TO A VERY SMALL TOWN GA AND ONE OTHER PERSON BESIDES MYSELF HAS THE SISTERLOCKS. SHE GOT HER DONE IN MIAMI WHICH IS SOME 600MILES AWAY. I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP MY LOCKS UP AND I HAVE RETIGHTENENING MY LOCKS IN THE PAST I HAVE HAD THE LOCKS NOW FOR 3 YEARS AND I WOULDNT EVER CUT THEM OUT. I LOVE ALL THE STYLES AND LOOKS THAT YOU CREATE AND SHOW IN YOUR VIDEOS. PLEASE HELP A SISTER OUT AND SHOW ME HOW OR TELL ME HOWTO DO THE SPRING LOCK SET. I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.
GOD BLESS YOU IN YOUR SUCCESS

Can your healthy Locks conditioning Mist be purchased on line.
I would love to get my sisterlocks done by you. I live in GA and do not mind the travel. Your work appears to be worth it, plus I have family in DE. How can I contact you to set up an appointment?
Hi Denetra, email me at phyllis@helloworld.com with your phone number and a good time to call you. We’ll talk. Thanks for visiting and have a great hair day.
My loctician does a FABU job (as usual). Hey, check your email, left you that info we talked about last nite.
Lovely, Loc’ed & Lovin It!
Hi, I have found your website and videos to be intriguing and informative. I have thus far spent approx. 2hrs looking at your videos and reading anything and everything on your site. I’m about 1 yr into having my locs and am trying to keep the faith during this trying time of to long to spike to short for a pony tail. Thank you for the time you put into this.
I have been lurking around on you site for the last few days. Just wanted to say you and your sisters locks are beautiful. I’m very interested in purchasing the anahita hair oil and the condition mist that you use to make the traditonal locks softer and not so dry looking. I cant seem to find the web site to purchase them. Your site wont let me click on to order.
thanks
Hello Phyllis,
Again, your locks are absolutely beautiful. I love the jewels in your locks. Do you keep the jewels in your hair for long periods of time? I would like to purchase some hair jewelry. Do you recommend any vendors? I have sisterlocks that I cover every night, but I still get lint embedded in my locks. What can I do to eliminate the lint without cutting my locks? If I use tweezers, my locks weaken and I eventually cut them.
I would love to order your healthy locks conditioning mist, the anahita butter as your tutorial video. Could you please let your Loc sisters know how we may get in touch with you ? Thank you so much looking forward to the experience…
Hi Jeannette, I know I still have to develop my “About Me” page and my “Contact” page. Even without that info here, viewers are being resourceful and contacting me through some of my other sites that are linked to this one. You can find all my contact info at http://www.PhyllisJohnson.com. Thanks for posting and have a great hair day!

So glad to FINALLY find your site. Been eating up your vids on utube.
Have a question for you. I’ve had dreadlocks for 5yrs. And I want to make a switch over to healthylocs/sistalocs. I’m all about DYI and have figured out how to do the pattern set. My question is:
Do you have ANY advice for someone who wants to comb out 5yr old locks?
Besides TIME and PATIENCE. LOL.
Thanks in Advance, and keeping on Keeping On!
Much Love.

Phyllis Says: Hi Felicia. How are you? You women amaze me and can be sooo resourceful. I’m responding to this post late and you (along with your two beautiful adult daughters) have had a consultation at my home; are enjoying all the products you purchased and have your Sisterlocks installation date carved in stone (in my planner). It was great meeting all of you and I can’t wait to be a part of your transition into the world of locked hair freedom! Remember to condition regularly and I’ll see you in June. Congratulations – Wooo Hooo!
Phyllis…
I’ve had dreadlocks for 2 1/2 years their getting long and very thick. My hairdresser went out of business and i need some help with my locs. I’m not sure how often i should wash my locks or the maintenance etc. if you can give me some advice i would be grateful.
Love your Youtube videos

Phyllis Says: Hi Candice. You’re at a stage where your locks don’t require to much maintenance. Here’s a quick tutorial: Just shampoo when you need to (either in the shower or over the sink/tub); use the shampoo of your choice and make sure you concentrate on your scalp first and then do the the length of your locks. Rinse and repeat if necessary. If you’re using a conditioner from a bottle, dilute it by half and concentrate the conditioner on the locked portion of your hair. Rinse and gently sqeeze out excess water. Absorb additional water with a lint free absorbent towel or very absorbent paper towels like Bounty. Lightly oil or “butter your scalp” and hair (Soul Purpose Balms) and retwist your new growth using a non alcolhol, non flaking gel (I like to mix a little Soul Purpose Balm into the gel). Make sure you incorporate all your loose hairs at the base of your locks and twist them into your locks as you palmroll. Hope this helps. I will be showing you step by step in a future DVD.
Hi Phyllis, my dreads are 3yrs old this is about my 3rd set (of dread) and im trying to make it my last . The reason why i keep cutting them is because they keep atracting lint which i dont find attractive im currently using Dr. Brooners Magic Soaps to wash hair now since i found out the regular shampoos and conditioners are no good and contribute to the problem,is there any advice that u can share with me to get rid of the lint and also do you know what i can use for twisting. Thanks. Empress
Where are you located ? Have you thought about training locticians to work for you around the world. ( I’m in Illinois )
Hello,
I’ve been reading your blog and have two requests. I have noticed that Warm Spirit is no longer in business? Can you tell me if there’s a way of obtaining the Anahita hair oil? Also, please provide me with further information on how much your instructional video is for the spring curls and how I would be able to purchase it. Thank you!
