Hey Healthy Lockers!  A few end of the year updates!

Since September, I’v been working on creating two new products for you and upgrading my product labels.  I’ve also shared a company, F.L.O.W. Industry, that has incredible hair growth products where my clients, myself and now many of you, who were having hair thinning issues, are experiencing amazing hair growth results.  That makes me happy!

So since I’m in this really good mood, I’ve discounted just about everything on this site.  This will be the biggest and last FREE shipping promotion of this year (2016).  In January, we’ll get back on track with posts and webinars specific to locked hair care, loc issues & loc styling.  But for now, take advantage of the savings and free shipping promotions that I have for you.

Just about everything has been discounted and you’ll get free shipping on all purchases of $45 or more.  Use this special code during checkout:

VLBLACKFRIDAY

I’ve been getting amazing responses from the new Sugar Shea Spa Oil that has been going out as a sample in the Healthy Hair Kit.   My clients, which are my first barometer in getting a feel on how a product will be received, have given the Honey Rose Water a definite ” Two Thumbs Up” – me too.  I have a very limited “sample” supply of these.  I will place a sample size in orders of $55 or more (while supplies lasts), along with a small sample of the Sugar Shea Spa Oil.  These two products will be available for purchase in the first week of January 2017.

Dry Locs

Dry Locs

My sister, Robin, was over today to help me with making products and loc jewelry, however, none of that got done.  Instead, I ended up “dry-conditioning”, grooming and accessorizing her traditional locs.  Dry-Conditioning is my system of loc products and loc maintenance that creates an environment of moisturization and conditioning for locs ‘between’ shampoos.  It can be done on dry or damp locs.  Robin has baby fine hair and her locs are 12 years old.

Over the years, Robin’s loc maintenance routine has been very basic.  She would go weeks without moisturizing or oiling her scalp and locs.  She chooses not to put too much of anything on her hair, because it breaks out her skin. Robin has learned over the years that she is extremely sensitive to many of the skin and hair care products on the market. So her routine would consist of shampooing her hair, twisting the roots while damp and that’s it.

So of course, this regimen has taken it’s toll on her locs.  She suffers from very dry locs and the bottom third of her loc, which was color-treated several years ago is super extremely dry.  So now, since she has moved back to Delaware…YEAH!!!, her locs are being treated to the Healthylocs System.   Her regimen includes dry-conditioning with the Ultimate Dry-Conditioning Formula and the Loc Luv Conditioning oil. I’ve had to make a

special “Loc Luv” conditioning oil for her because she is allergic to the aloe vera in the original formula.  Her locs literally transforms with the dry conditioning system.

So between grooming, laughing, eating, giggling and accessorizing Robin’s locs, time flew by and nothing else got done. This is the result of the quick grooming and loc accessorizing.  Check out the video below.  I’ll be bringing you more of Robin’s loc journey.  She has this quick-style bun that she does that is unique and attractive for those of you with long locs like hers.  Enjoy the video!

I had to come out for a little bit to take a breather…especially on Mother’s Day!  But I’ve found myself (once again) at my computer editing and preparing the video below.  I think you’re going to enjoy viewing it though.   I’m showing how I shampoo my locs with the Shampoo bars!

I’ve spent the last 4 1/2 months tweaking the shampoo bars and doing my best to keep up with daily orders, maintaining my clientele and balancing family.   That’s why you haven’t heard much from me in awhile.  New products, videos and training is on the way, but technology is changing sooo fast, it’s challenging to stay on track and keep focused.

Enjoy your free shipping and check out the other saving on the Ear Abstracts,  Loc Jewelry and SpringLocks DVD’s

Sorry…FREE Shipping is NOT AVAILABLE for International orders

I’d like to introduce all of you to Shannon my newest client and brave soul. She has graciously allowed me to post her videos and photos for your viewing pleasure. So please, give her your support and as always remember what our mothers taught us…”if you don’t have nothin good to say”…(you know the rest). Shannon’s hair locking journey will be documented on this site-so stay tuned.

Shannon had color and texurizer on her ends. Of course this affected her natural curl. Her ends were damaged and would not readily coil. She held a very good coil near her scalp, but as I continued to coil, the ends remained loose. Many of her ends had to be clipped. The clipping of Shannon’s ends will probably continue for the next few groomings. Shannon is on a 4 week grooming schedule.

Shannon has great hair texture for locking and an incredible positive attitude for going through the locking process. It’ll be fun watching her transition and documenting her loc journey. Thanks Shannon! If you haven’t seen her interview, check it out.

Have A Great Hair Day!

Shannon is my newest client and I’m excited to have her as part of our "Healthylockers" family. She has new locks, which are considered "Baby Locks or Baby Locs". Shanon will be sharing her locking process from the perspective of a woman working in a professional environment. I hope this will help a lot of sisters who are hesitant about going natural or locking their hair because you don’t know how it will be accepted or what people will think of you. Great insight here.
