Hey gang.
Although I’m good at documenting my client’s loc journey through photos and videos, I realized that I have just a few pictures to document my own. In response to your continual requests to see photos of my loc journey, I spent most of the day looking for photos of my hair and was able to pull together a small collection from over a 10 year period.
I’m happy to be able to share these with you.

Thank you so much for posting this!! It’s so inspiring to see how they’ve changed and grown.
Hi Phyllis, Your pics are all beautiful. They are very inspiring, My sisterlocks are only one year. But at times it looks like they are shrinking instead of growing. lol So your photos give me hope and encouragement.
By the way loving your new live broadcast, just replayed the first one. You are so diligent with your natural hair business and that is also encouraging!
Hi Debbie. Thank You! Your Sisterlocks are going through their normal process. Locks in general will form in different stages. During your first year, it will seem like you won’t notice too much growth beacuse your locks are drawing up, contracting and external hairs of your locks are begining to encase the interior hairs of your locks. Between years 2-3, however, it will seem as if your hair is growing very fast and we call that stage “falling of the shelf”. Just wait – you’ll see.
Have a great hair day.
Your hair is just gorgeous. You have the most beautiful eyes, I have never seen them up that close. They fit your personalilty……
I have watched many of your loc videos and wondered how your locs looked from the very beginning. Your long locs are beautiful and growth is what I am also striving for. I have been locked for 23 months and am only 4 weeks from the beginning of the “falling off the shelf phase.” However, I must say that when your locs were short and medium in length, it gave you a more youthful appearance. My sister has bra strap length locs and when her locs were above the shoulders, she also looked more youthful. However, I am drawn to the allure of long locs and can’t wait until mine reach your length!
Hi Sheri. I’m happy that you are enjoying my videos and receiving value from them. I had to laugh a little when I read that you thought my shorter locks made me appear more “youthful”. Well….I acturally was (lol). But I think I know what you mean.
I was going for length too, until I realized that for certaintextures, “length” may come with additional issues like thining at the roots or hairline from the additional weight. The most important things to remember if you’re striving for length is to maintain a regimen of conditioning, moisturizing, vitamins for hair, scalp massages and very light styling. Enjoy your journey and thanks for posting.
