Wow my mouth is hanging open, your locs are beyond awesome. I have a 6.5 yr old Haitian daughter and am trying to get her more excited about her locs and not always trying to mash them straight down with water in the morning. She has micro braidlocs since july of 2008. Of course she wants hair that behaves more like straight blonde hair! So we had a big conversation this morning about all this straightening and stuff she can do “when i’m OLDER” and im just rolling my eyes and wanting so badly for her to LOVE her locs. I am going to show her your photos and show her what her locs could be when she is a teenager if she takes care of them and is just PATIENT! I would kill to have locs like yours. Are yours sisterlocks? Can you microloc straight blonde hair? if so, sign me up!!!
Hi Stephanie. Yes, i have Sisterlocks and yes YOU can have your straight blonde hair microlocked. Any hair texture will lock. You just have to find a locktician who knows what they’re doing and is willing to do it.
Congratulations to you for helping your daughter appreciate the beauty of her natural hair. She’s still so young though and can be very easily influenced by the images she sees on television and your hair as well. I think I have a few photos of children that I can post here. I’ll check my data base. You may see them in a couple of weeks and you can show them to your daughter.
