Boy, I haven’t posted in over 4 months! Had to deal with challenges that literally put everything on the back burner, including my businesses and blogs. That’s life though. I’m thankful, blessed and I’m still here. Excited about being here too. Have lots of great stuff and video footage to share with you.
The new format of my site is the first one. I’ve been feverishly learning everything I can about about building a better blog. You’ll find that this format will be easier for you to find info and to navigate. Some things still need to be formatted and a whole bunch of content has to be added, but it appears to be working OK. Let me know if you experience any glitches.
Ok going to bed now. It’s 5:20 am and I haven’t been to bed yet. Good night….I mean – Good morning!

Hi Phyllis,
I would love to order your conditioning mist and loc jewelry, however, I do not see where to order. Can I order from this website?
I live in NYC and am ready to start my sisterlocks!!!! Do you know of any good locticians in the NYC area that can do my sisterlocks?
Hi Crystal. Sorry I can’t help you with a referral in NYC. I haven’t figured out a way to create a network of knowledgeable lockticians. I guess your best bet would be to check on the Sisterlocks official website. Thanks for positning and have a great hair day.
Hey, just remembered I had a client who traveled to me from New York to get her Sisterlocks installed. She had a 3 hour commute and from the beginning I encouraged her to locate someone closer to her in NY who could retighten her locks since she had a good foundation. I’ll text her and see if I can get the info for her locktician. But please do your due diligence in finding a good Sisterlock consultant. They’re worth their weight in gold and not all lockticians are created equal…Hum, sounds like a good title for a post.
Hi Dorothy. I’m a little disappointed. I spent all this time updating my blog and making things easier to find (so I thought…LOL). Ok. Yes, you can order both items from this blog. Go to the top of any page and there should be tabs. Click on the one that reads “Order Hair Products” to locate the Healthylocks Conditioning Mist; and click on the tab that reads, “Lock Jewelry & Adornments” to look over the jewelry. There’s a video that shows how to attach the jewelry as well. Contact me directly if you have any questions. Have a great hair day, Dorothy and thanks for positng.
Thanks Phyllis I would really appreciate that!!
So glad you’re back! I’ve been poring over your videos for inspiration, as my locs aren’t even a year old yet. I love the loc jewelry I’ve purchased! Although I did hit a snag when, after tying a knot and securing one into my small loc, I realized that I wouldn’t be able to do my retightenings the same way, as I couldn’t pull the jewelry through the small hole made with my retightening tool. So, I’ve had to palm roll that one loc and leave the jewelry one. Taking the beautiful piece off was never an option!
.
At any rate, welcome back and I look forward to more great videos and more great jewelry!

unable to order hair products from this site. when i clicked on “order hair products” only came up with web page that said “coming soon”. Any help with this??? ordered conditioning mist from you before and love it. almost out!!! HELP!!! lol:)
Diane…My heart almost stopped when I read your post. It just bothers me when something goes wrong with the site…but I’ve doubled checked and everything appears to be working fine on the order pages.
Make sure that you just click on “ORDER HAIR PRODUCTS“. That’s the tab that will take you directly to the products page and the first two items is the mist.
Now I did create a drop down menu that opens up underneath the “ORDER HAIR PRODUCTS” page that list “future” pages for the mist and the gel recipe. Those pages I will be creating soon. Try it again, or contact me via the “Contact Phyllis” tab at the top of the page.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great hair day!
Hi Rajdulari. Your post made me smile. So happy to hear that you are enjoying your loc jewelry. I knew you would. Here’s a tip for you… still attempt to pull the jewelry through as you are retightening. The smaller pieces should go through fairly easily if you have at least a 1/4 in of loose hair (you may not be able to tighten all the way down to the scalp though). Just very gingerly help guide the jewelry through as you retighten. Let me know how you make out.
I love the videos on this site and am interested in getting locs. I went to a “loctician” but I found myself displeased with her. I got the dread twist went back 4 weeks later got a wash my twist came out she had to start all over this happened twice and she charged me $85 each time. so 4 weeks later I washed my own hair and the twist came out so now I am looking for a loctician that will do a consultation. Any referrals, any advice is welcome. I just don’t feel I should pay $85 to wash my hair. I can do that for free myself.
